Scroll Saw Art

Made from 1/4” MDF board and cut on the scroll saw. Handpainted with acrylic paints. Mounted on a 1/2” pine backer. Gloss polyurethane top coat.

Overall size measures 9" x 12". A double portrait is possible if you have two pets - you would just order 2 regular portraits. Please note: I have a specific recommendation on the type of photo to use when making a double portrait. Please reach out before placing a double order to insure the photo you want to use is appropriate.

Standard background color is Natural Pine. However, some pet’s coloring looks better on a stained Vintage Grey background. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, I can do a custom color of your choice! Most customers have opted to go with a bright colored wood stain (please see photos for examples). Be sure to indicate which option you would like before adding to cart.

This is a "bust" style portrait (head and neck). Your photo will be cropped accordingly.

Please send 2 to 4 decently sized images of your pet (NO social media screenshots, please!) to hellojparisdesigns@gmail.com so I can choose the one that works best with my process. I will use the EXACT photo that you send, so please make sure they are all ones that you would be ok with as the final product.

Turn your favorite photograph into a custom wood portrait!

This is a great option for photos where someone’s eyes are closed, or perhaps its just a bit blurry. Please keep in mind, I can only use professional photographs if you own the rights to them from the photographer.

Background options available are natural cedar and natural pine - please see photos for examples of each.

All frames will be black unless otherwise requested.

Given the natural variation of wood grain, your background will vary from samples shown. It all just depends on which piece is used. I promise, you’ll love it either way!

I will use you the exact photo that you send. PLEASE NOTE: Clothing that is patterned will be replaced with the most dominant solid color. Glasses and facial hair will be represented.
